The Theory of Mindful Space: Identifying, Understanding, and Preventing Violence506 East Vista Street, Bisbee, AZ 85603mindfulspace{at}hotmail.com Usually, involved definitions of violence toward women are within such contexts as domestic violence or theories of rape. The theory of mindful space succinctly defines violence as it occurs naturally and as it occurs as an imbalance of nature. Based on concepts of space and the life cycle (literal and symbolic processes of birth and death), this theory suggests a myriad of cues for women to notice in the initial and enduring stages of a violent experience. Using these cues, women may be able to identify and avoid violence long before it becomes destructive.
