In-Dependence: A Feminist Postmodern Deconstruction

This article uses a feminist postmodern perspective to analyze the meanings of dependence, both psychological and economic, as they are applied to women, particularly those who are of low income. The analysis demonstrates how the term has been socially constructed and how this construction does not take into account women's experience and voice.
